Drones have caused a bit of a revolution within the tourism marketing industry over the last couple of years.
Track back five years or so and the only aerial footage you’d ever see would be from a helicopter or a highly professional drone.
Over the last couple of years, however, we’ve seen the number of drone owners catapult with tonnes of amateur footage being uploaded to the web on a daily basis.
Whether it’s giving viewers an insight of what it’s like to stand at the edge of the Cliffs of Moher or to offer a glimpse inside the Poolbeg Chimneys, drones have the ability to take us to places we’ve never been before.
The video above shot by Peter Cox during his Atlantic Light project of the Wild Atlantic Way is an absolute masterpiece that really tugs at the heartstrings, packing a patriotic punch, making you realise how magical our little island really is.
