If you’ve ever gazed up at the two towering chimneys on the south bank of the River Liffey and tried to imagine what they look like inside, then you’re in for a treat.

The folks over at Sky Pixels Ireland flew (or whatever it is drones actually do… hover maybe?!) a drone up over the Poolbeg chimneys and recorded the view from above, inside and beyond.

The footage, which you can watch by hitting play above, begins by showing some wonderfully unique footage of the inside of one of the brick lined chimneys and what looks like a never ending black hole below.

It then goes on to peer down over the surrounding grounds and finishes with some fantastic aerial views over Dublin City.

Sit back and enjoy!

As always, I’d love to hear what you think in the comments below. I know there a lot of people sceptical about the use of drones but I’ve got to say, I’m a massive fan.
